The other day I was thinking ahead of ideas/brainstorm things for G.B.A's crib and this happen to bother me.

Love interests.

In truth one of the reasons why I made G.B.A's previous love interest, Kendra the Witch into a villain is because at the time I didn't know how to write romance stuff and I didn't want to make any common mistakes.

I mean it was bad enough Kendra was basically a carbon copy of Peach back in the early days and plus she was a bit of a flat character but hey characterization marches on as they say in trope land; she's basically become some sort of bitch.

Why was I afraid? Well when people make characters, they have to make sure the characters are 'treated' as if they are real. I didn't want to make Kendra the 'perfect' companion/soul mate for G.B.A because seeing G.B.A sometimes slips into an author avatar of myself (which is nearly all the time if you read my stuff) in some comics of mine. I just don't feel comfortable that my character has a girlfriend and I never had one in real life... well I did once but I got slapped in the face.

So in the end, I'm still unsure if I want G.B.A to be paired up or not because people love to poke fun of the author if his character is engaged and he's just a loser in society.

Ah well live and learn.
